I’ve been learning Python, taking a class that’s engaging and interesting for beginners. It’s been fun, if not exactly what I was hoping for; I got into this language because I wanted to get better at data modeling. The class I have taken so far has been a lot about the foundations – which, obviously, are necessary and worthwhile, but it has not been great at teaching me why Python is so valued in the area of data science or how to wield that value.
C’est la vie, I suppose. I just need to find another resource that delves a bit further into data cleansing, modeling, and visualization.
